Chapter 6- Worries

-What's urgent?-Kaori asked.

-I-(Huff)I realised that Vintage-He used an ability which nearly destroyed our team in a battle 5 years ago, and i'm in his team now, and-and-

Kaori gave a light pat on Hachi's head.

-Stop overthinking. Eat up your dinner before it gets cold. We can talk about this when I get home tomorrow.-Kaori sighed as they put a plate with rice and ramen in front of Hachi when she sat down at the table dividing the kitchen and the living room.

-"Get home"? But what are you going to do tomorrow? You don't have to go to Alterna for captain work, do you?-Hachi said gloomily, trying to put the nervous tought aside for now.

-I have a surgery tomorrow, remember? For this stupid sanitized eye. Just so I can at least see stuff with it.-Kaori said, opening a juice box.

-Oh, I-um, forgot about that...I might have to talk with my big brother, then.-Hachi sighed, starting to eat the food.

Minutes passed, and Hachi just did not stop thinking of how she just betrayed her old team, but she just kept doing what she was doing, and some more minutes later, Hachi and Kaori changed and went to bed. But still, thinking, thinking, thinking...

Hachi let out a deep sigh when she was in bed, Kaori turned over to the right of their futon to see Hachi in the one beside them, with a worried face.

-What's up? Still not able to sleep?

-Yeah...'You have anything to tell me that can help...?

-Why don't you just go to the window and pray?

-What?! Not right now...But like, anything else?

-Ugh. Just read that one book, and puh-please turn the heater on, it's freezing in here.

-Aight.

Thankfully, Hachi was able to get her mind off things by doing what Kaori asked, and soon enough, it made Hachi fall asleep fast.

-Timeskip-

01/02/14,098

It was quite early, but Kaori had to get up earlier than usual, because it was the day of their surgery. Hachi prepped herself some breakfast and waved Kaori goodbye before they went out to the local hospital. Hachi gloomily listened to her radio, which warned about heavy snowfall for the next week, and it also blabbered about "This day in battles" once again, but nothing about it was really relevant. After Hachi ate her breakfast, she stood up and walked over to the bedroom and searched for her Nokia phone.

-Hrgh, where is it...Ah, here! Now what number was it...-Hachi thought as she scrolled down the contacts list, until she found just the right one, and called the number.

It took a few seconds, but soon after, the call started.

BEEP...

-Helloo? This is Alexander Hozuki, also known as Empero-

-Emp, it's Hachi, your sister.

-Hm? Ah, yes, yes. So, erm, what's up? 'You coming over?

-No, it's actually something else...Kinda like a dilema...

Emperor took a deep sigh.

-Sheesh, then what is it?

-It's-well...I-I joined the X-Blood...And some thing really important happened, Is that-

-Wawawait...You're telling me you joined a team you lost to when you were younger?

-Yeah, exactly! But my stupid amnesia made me not remember, and I singned in ethier way, and I played a battle yesterday, and Vintage used a ability that destroyed my team when I first battled him, and I feel terrible...But I don't know what to do...(sniff)

As she said that,Hachi felt reallly bad and thought her brother would never know what to do.

-...Interesting. But wait. Vintage is my best friend apart from Marina, so if I said nothing to him, it could work.

-But I won't know what to do until then...!

-Look, this might sound terrible, but...Are you already hiding something from him?

-Yes, i'm pretending to be a boy, because the team request was this...

-Wow. That's like, though. But I have a plan. Don't tell him anything until you can't stand it. Then you call him over to your house, and you tell him everything. Even if you think he won't accept it, it's gonna be fine. I know him pretty well, and he's really nice to newcomers.

-That's...Amazing! Thank you so much, Emp!

-No problem. Oh, Pearl's calling me, I gotta go.

-Okay, see you!

Booop...

-I'm so happy to have a brother like him...Thank godness Pearl's family decided to adopt me when I was younger...-Hachi thought, looking at the picture frame on her table, which had a picture of her, Pearl, Emperor, and Prince, along with Pearl's father and mother.

But even after talking to Emperor, she still felt worried. So she just decided to watch the battles on the main apartments of Flounder Heights which yes, were as chaotic as could be. As Hachi sat on the stool out on the balcony of her apartment, waching as a battle ended and water sprinklers sprung up and started to trow out water to clean the ink faster.

Later, Hachi had an idea to write down what happened in her diary to remember how to deal with things like that. But still, she could not shake the feeling that that just happened.

-Sigh...I wish my memory was better in times like these...Stupid sanitazation.-Hachi mumble to herself as she wrote on her diary.

-Wait. Even if I became very close to Vintage, could I tell him that all this time, i'm an experiment for the octarian army...?
