-Hidden Conquerors- Chapter 5-

-So,"The Incident" was about 6 years ago...And it involved the famous "Team Harukyoso" and on the exact day that Team Emperor was going to battle them. All seemed well, but...Out of nowhere, a member called Skull randomly started a major argument with someone else called Ichigo and...-Kaori paused. She looked really nervous, even though it was a thing of the past.

-So? What happened?-Hachi asked.

-Ichigo...Changed his identity. He was never seen ever again in battle...But not soon after, a boy who looked almost exactly like him- called Vintage- Entered the league and nearly destroyed everyone in his way, 12 teams, to be exact. There are theories that Vintage and Ichigo are the same, but one time, Vintage even said; "Who even is Ichigo..?"-Kaori said, twitching her sanatized ear.

Hachi gulped. She did not ever see someone (Apart from herself as agent 8) change their identity like that.

The rest of the afternoon was simple. After eating Kaori's delicious Brazilian lunch, Hachi just chatted on Squidcord, (Literally Discord but Splatoon) wrote on her diary, and listened the radio, which had a very unexpected surprise...

-Now it's time for: This day in battles! Today, 31st of January, is the day when Team Eight lost against the formidable X-Blood! Some say there was no match for The X, making players like Seven and the second-in-command, Hachi, get easily splatted with X-zone! Vintage's signature mo-SHHHk...

Hachi turned off the radio. She did not want to remember the day where she said she was leaving the team, which caused a massive fight. She did not remember correctly that day, but...

Hachi deeply gulped when she realised: She was from Team Eight, lost against The X-blood, and then entered the X-blood herself. How could that be possible...?

Hachi stood up and walked over to the living room, thinking about how in a million years could what she just heard have happened. Even though she was overwhelmed by what just happened, she got ready to go to school, which was actually at night.

-Ayo, I'm going to school now, did you prepare the lunchbox?-Hachi asked, pulling up her blazer.

-Got riiiight...Here. Message me when 'you are coming back, 'k?-Kaori said, giving Hachi her lunchbox and her Nokia phone that somehow worked (even though this story is 12,000 years after humanity, but in the 2000's for the inklings).

Hachi went down the stairs of her massive apartment block, but had to rush to the next metro station, because there was only one of it in Flounder Heights.

The rest of the night was simple. Boring maths, fun biology, (about humans hehe) and then again, boooring literature class...And when Hachi got home, she just ate dinner, went to the bathroom, and went to sleep.

The next day...

01/02/14,098(the actual year)

Sunlight shone through the dim curtains in Hachi and Kaori's bedroom. It was another snowy and cold Sunday in Itoi. Hachi awoke to the soft feeling of a snowflake falling on her nose, and the national anthem of Itoi, which played every morning at eight'o clock.

-Mwaaah...Ah, I left the window a bit open yesterday...Good thing it didn't mess up my bed...-Hachi said, standing up, and fixing one side of her bed, as Kaori fixed the other half of the bed.

After Kaori prepped Hachi's favorite breakfast: pancakes with honey, Hachi got ready to go to the X-blood "headquarters" (literally an random apartment in Eeltail Alley), Because her phone dinged yesterday saying they should come for a battle.

-Timeskip-

About 1hr later...

DING dong...Nhiic...

-Hey,Hachi...-Omega said with a warm smile.

-Uh, hi.-Hachi stuttered, she rarely saw Omega smile.

Hachi and Omega walked over to the living room. Vintage, as usual, was sitting in the small couch, reading some book about flowers. While Red Sole bounced around the room, humming Anarchy Rainbow by Deep Cut.

Vintage looked fairly worried about something, but also looked excited, which was one of his not-so-poker-faces he made.

-Ah, there you are. So...Apparently, Team Orange decided to battle us right this snowy Sunday. Wait, you know them, right?-Vintage slapped his book closed by both sides.

Hachi tried really hard to remember them. Her dissociative amnesia did not help either. She shook her head no.

-Well, it's these guys. The leader is called Army, so it seems. I think he actually met you, Hachi. Not sure when tho.-Vintage showed his phone his a picture of them.

-Hm...Army...Uh... Ah! He's that- That Inkling who's very, uh, devoted to noting down stuff?-Hachi stammered, not telling Vintage about Army secretly being an undercover octoling.

-So, we're going to battle them in some time. But FYI, the stage is kinda filled with snow.-Vintage slightly warned.

-Yes, er, care for some tea? It's a British recipe, I think. Also, Emperor taught me how to do this one.-Hachi changed the subject quickly.

Time passed quickly, and soon enough, Army knocked the door, and the X-blood and team Orange walked over to the nearest lobby- Splatsville tower. Everyone got ready, and soon, the battle started.

-The X-blood versus Team Orange battle will soon begin! The stage is Eeltail Alley, and the mode is Tower control!-The announcer roared.

-Ah, how convenient. Right by our apartment.-Vintage said in his cold tone.

-3...2...1, and GO!-The announcer shouted.

Both teams rushed foward, but Team Orange reached the tower first.

-Hah, nothing beats a freshly filled manual!-Army said proud.

-Hm. Hachi, you have a splatana, so get behind them, if you can.-Vintage whispered, his voice sounded as cold as if all his emotions got wiped out.

Hachi looked around. She could go behind everyone and splat them easily. She nodded, and rushed foward.

-Hah, you'll lose if you don't go fowar- GAH!-Army shrieked.

-Commander! Are you- Ngah!-Forge looked around too late. Though, the other two members were able to escape Hachi's ruthless splatting.

-Darn...I wasn't able to get them all...-Hachi mumbled annoyed.

-That's fine. Red Sole, go distract them while I find a safe place to use it.-Vintage said.

-I'm on it!-Red Sole jumped fowards.

Hachi went foward too, and she wondered what was the "It" Vintage mentioned. Either way, she was dodging most attacks, until she saw Vintage perched on one of the highest places in Eeltail Alley's stage, wiping off the snow, he quietly observed the battle, he seemed to be planning something, but what?

-The X-blood has got control of the tower!-The announcer shouted.

Hachi thought about what Vintage was doing up there while on the tower, shivering as small clouds of vapor appered when was breathing, due to the cold. But the entirety of Team Orange came charging right to the tower all at once, Vintage's eyes widened when he saw that. Hachi looked really fast, but she saw what "It" meant, Vintage silently covered his eyes with his hand, and said coldly:

-Ahem, looks like I won't be able to use the common method...-Vintage silently slided his hand downwards to show his eyes. They...Were not the same anymore, that...Was X-zone, making them have an X which sparked like a hologram. The air also felt 3 times heavier.

-Wait...I've seen that before...-Hachi mumbled. She in fact saw that before, but when? The radio...31st of January, 5 years ago, it all made sense now.

It was basically a flash, and all the members of Team Orange were down, making a wipeout.

The rest of the battle went out smoothly, and soon enough, the X-blood made to the end, winning the battle.

-THE X-BLOOD WON! Wow, that was a tough one!-The announcer said.

Hachi and the others came back to the lobby, congratulating each other, but Hachi needed to tell this to Kaori immediately. She rushed over the train station, said her good-bye's, and got on the train. When she got home, she slammed the door open, and kept huffing and huffing until Kaori said:

-What's up?

-It's-It's urgent.
